Abstract
Numeracy is more than just being able to ‘do sums’. It is about having the confidence and competence to use numbers and think mathematically in everyday life. This covers so many things from understanding concepts of time, space, pattern and shape to understanding if that supermarket offer really is a bargain, from measuring quantities for a recipe to managing the household budget.
