| dc.description.abstract | Although we have come a long way, children in Ireland still do not get what they should while living in a wealthy country — too many children still live in poverty, are not adequately protected from danger and risk, are homeless, have no access to local and affordable childcare. In short, their rights under the UN Convention are not yet met. Barnardos believes that Ireland should be one of the best places in the world to be a child growing up, and we intend to continue trying to make that a reality. making a difference is intended to make a real and significant contribution to Barnardos’ continuing development and its increasing capacity to respond to the needs of children, young people, and their families, in Ireland from 2002 to 2005, and beyond. | en |
