Abstract

In this issue of Childcare eNews we bring you details of Rise Up, Barnardos new campaign against child inequality. With one in eight children in Ireland now living in consistent poverty, many are going hungry, are without a waterproof coat or live in a poorly heated home. Barnardos is calling on politicians to commit to tackling child inequality. The decisions made by the next Government will shape our society and have the power to change Irish children’s futures for the better. We also bring news of The Report of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Future Investment in Early Years and School Age Care and Education Services which proposes how best to invest in childcare services over the coming years.
