Dr Domitrovich discusses a public health approach to preventing mental health disorders and promoting mental health in pre-school and primary school age children. This includes the use of evidence-based interventions and the importance of social-emotional skills. Her presentation will provide an overview of the most common developmental models of risk and protective factors that are used to develop preventive interventions and a summary of the knowledge base regarding effi cacious preventive interventions.
