Abstract
As we await the upcoming Budget, there have been a number of significant developments in the early years sector over the last few months, in particular the formation of the Early Years Forum. This Forum will allow for consultation between the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and key representatives from the sector, which is greatly welcomed. Another key development is the establishment of a Childminding Collaborative Working Group which will focus on the future for Childminders in Ireland. This issue of Early Years eNews also has information about a number of reports recently launched.
