Abstract
Barnardos welcomes the opportunity to make a submission to the NESF project team on Mental Health and Social Inclusion. Barnardos’ services operate in over 30 locations around the country working directly with and providing support to children and families who are disadvantaged. In our experience, issues surrounding mental health and social exclusion for both parents and children do arise regularly. Our staff work with both families and children to help stem the short and long term effects of mental illness.
