Abstract
This report provides a detailed overview of the work of the Family Work Sub-Group — its objectives & methodology; key learning from literature & site visits, review of current practice and recommendations. Resource and time constraints clearly placed limitations on the extent to which many of the issues raised could be explored and analysed. However, the Sub-Group membership are satisfied that this process will provide a “building block” in what will hopefully become an ongoing commitment by the organisation at all levels and across all sectors to review, challenge & develop our practice to ensure that children and families utilising our services are receiving the highest standard of service possible to meet their particular needs.
