Abstract
This strategic plan has been formulated following an extensive investigation over several months of the environments, both internal and external, in which Barnardo’s operates in Ireland. The process has included meetings with staff groups where views have been recorded, circulation of material and receipt of submissions from individuals and groups. We have also consulted with a substantial number of individuals and bodies in the external environment. These have included senior personnel in Government Departments, health boards and other statutory bodies, individual commentators, voluntary organisations, business, technology, media and public relations personnel.
