dc.description.abstractBarnardos welcomes the opportunity to feed into the development of the National Children and Young People Policy Framework 2012-2017. Barnardos believes that the focus of this Framework should be on all 0-18 year olds and for some vulnerable groups of 18-24 year olds such as those leaving the care system, those engaged in criminal activity or who are homeless. The Framework must be visionary striving to improve the lives of children by setting realistic goals to be achieved. Allocation of sufficient resources together with strong leadership at political and local level are essential ingredients to ensure implementation.en
