Abstract

Barnardos online safety workshops are classroom based, positive and interactive. They aim to empower children by encouraging them to make good choices online, to think critically about the information they see and read and to always be kind online. Each workshop is child-centred, age appropriate and discussion based. Throughout the 60 minute workshops, there are videos, group work, scenario based questions and quizzes to keep students engaged. All of our trainers are Garda Vetted and are highly skilled at working with children and adults alike. Each school receives a copy of the Google Be Internet Legends lesson plans as a wrap around resource.
