Abstract
I am very happy to introduce the second Annual Report of the Council of Barnardo’s, Republic of Ireland in regard to the work of our organisation during the year ended 31 March 1991. To begin with I would like to say how honoured we were during the year by the consent of the President of Ireland, Mary Robinson, to become Patron of Barnardo’s, Republic of Ireland. The demand for our various services for children and families with special needs remains at a high level and we continue to have close and excellent relations with the statutory authorities in co-ordinating our efforts.
