    Your School and Barnardos (Leaflet)
    (Barnardos, No date) Barnardos
At Barnardos, schools form the backbone of our services; teachers refer children into our programmes and primary schools across the country host many of our services including our Breakfast Clubs, Early Years, Wizards of Words and Roots of Empathy programmes (described below). The largest group of children we work with in our Family Support Services are of primary school age: 44% are aged 6 to 12 years. We provide a wealth of resources, information and training to schools and we are privileged to work with schools every year to support them in their fundraising efforts.

A Happy Childhood… Pass it On
    (Barnardos, 2023) Barnardos
Oftentimes when you haven't had the most idyllic childhood yourself, it gives you motivation to make sure that other children don't face the same challenges as you have. Or maybe you’re on the other end of the spectrum, and really enjoyed your childhood. So much so, that you want to make sure all children have the same opportunities you had. By pledging to leave a gift in your Will to Barnardos, you are affording that opportunity to future generations of children. The chance of a happy childhood. Other caring supporters like you have already chosen to support us in this special way. A gift in your Will is a wonderful way of passing on the best parts of you, your kindness, your compassion, and your commitment to creating a better world, for children in the future. You might think, ‘I wouldn’t have the money to leave a big gift’. But the truth is many of the Gifts in Wills we get from our supporters are modest. Every gift matters. Every single one has the power to change a child’s life for the better. A gift in your Will also speaks to the kind of person you are, and the values that have guided and shaped you. Your love for children, your generosity of spirit. These things can live on too. These are the ways you can be remembered. These are the things you can pass on. Oftentimes when you haven’t had the most idyllic childhood yourself, it gives you motivation to make sure that other children don’t face.

You Can Change a Child's Life Today......Because Childhood Lasts a Lifetime
    (Barnardos, No date) Barnardos
Barnardos works with vulnerable children from 0-18 years of age in a variety of different ways. How we work depends on the individual child’s age and stage of development. Our work supports children to achieve their milestones and develop resilience, the ability to bounce back and overcome any challenges they may face. We see that 1 in 10 children live in consistent poverty in Ireland, and almost a quarter of children experience deprivation. This is not acceptable. These children deserve better chances, which is why we work so hard. Our services are vital in making sure that these children and their families can overcome the daily challenges so they don’t slip through the cracks of society. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our donors. This means we can be there for those children and families — which means the world to them — and to us. Will you stand with us to give a helping hand to those who need it most?
