Barnardos welcomes these developments along with the news of a working group to explore the establishment of a professional body, which will strengthen a system of quality early learning and care for all children as well as supporting providers and practitioners in the early years sector. This will allow school age services to participate in the forthcoming Affordable Childcare Scheme. This issue also provides information about CPD payments for training in Aistear and Play, new appointments to the Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures National Advisory Council, as well a number of reports and studies launched so far this year relating to children and families.
