dc.description.abstract | Barnardos welcomes the opportunity to make a submission into the Joint Oireachtas Committee on the ‘Review of Legislation on Prostitution. As a member of the Turn Off the Red Light campaign, Barnardos strongly believes that the most effective way to tackle the issue of prostitution, in particular the exploitation of children through prostitution, is the introduction of criminal sanctions against the buyers of sex, as a way to discourage the demand for prostitution. | en |
